Magento HELP
Thebell is theme for Magento ecommerce platform. Before you start working with theme you should be familiar with Magento. Please read following links:
Install the demo Quickstart
There are two ways to install a Magento Theme:

Install quickstart : By using this package, you will set the theme exactly as our Demo with sample data.
-
Install only template : If you exist a Magento website you can install only template.
Warning! Before uploading theme files on a production environment, make sure you have tested it before on a development environment. Make sure to create a backup of your original files and database before uploading theme files.
Your website front-end with clear image sizes after the QuickStart installation
To install QuickStart package, please follow these guides below:
Create new database:
Open your Browser and type : localhost/phpmyadmin or yourdomain/phpmyadmin

Then create database
-
Click database you have just created
After import database -> Click that database -> Find and choose core_config_data
At web/unsecure/base_url, web/secure/base_url : Change url to your store url.

Access your magento root folder -> app\etc\env.php-> At 'dbname' => 'ma_thebell',, change ma_thebell to your database name -> Save
- Open your web browser and type url of your magento store. Finish installer.

***To change magento account: Please login admin with User name: admin, Password: admin123: Please login admin -> System -> Permissions -> All Users -> You can change account or add new account by clicking Add New User
***To change magento admin url: Please access your magento root folder -> app\etc\env.php -> At 'frontName' => 'admin',, change admin to your new admin -> Save
Install Template
To install our theme, you need to do 2 steps :

After install Magento 2, please enable cache and reindex data:
1. Enable Cache:
Login magento admin
Go to System -> Tools -> Cache Management
Select All cache types -> Enable -> Submit
2. Reindex data:
Run Magento command on your Magento root: php bin/magento indexer:reindex to reindex data.
1. With Magento 2.0.x
- Extract the ma_thebell_template_1.0.zip from the archive you downloaded.
Select and upload all folders to your Magento installation and merge them with the existing ones.
Run Magento command on your Magento root: php bin/magento setup:upgrade to upgrade magento extensions
Login your magento admin on browser
Go to Template Config -> Manage Template. We got:
At Store View : Choose store view you want to install theme
At Chose Demo : Select demo (Demo1, Demo2, Demo3, Demo4) you want to install
At Chose Action : Select Install Template
Then click Save Block
Next choose Stores -> Configuration -> General -> Design -> Design Theme
At Design Theme: Select Magento thebell_default, Magento thebell2, Magento thebell3, Magento thebell4, respond to Demo1, Demo2, Demo3, Demo4
- Click Save Config
Run Magento command : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Refresh your homepage. Finish installer.
***To install other demo, please do like this below:
Login your magento admin -> Uninstall the current demo by:
Go to Template Config -> Manage Template
At Store View : Choose store view you want to uninstall theme
At Chose Demo : Select demo (Demo1, Demo2, Demo3, Demo4) you want to uninstall
At Chose Action : Select Uninstall Template
Then click Save Block
Next choose Stores -> Configuration -> General -> Design -> Design Theme

2. With Magento 2.1.x

Upload your store logo
To upload your store logo, please do these steps :
1. With magento 2.0.x
- Open your Magento Administration page and go to Stores -> Configuration -> General -> Design -> Header:
-> At Logo Image : Click Browse to upload your store logo.
- You can set logo size at Logo Image Width, Logo Image Height
- You can set alternative text of your logo at Logo Image Alt
- You can set welcome text at Welcome Text
- Click Save to save your changes.
2. With magento 2.1.x
lease Login magento admin -> Content -> Design -> Configuration -> Your scope you have installed theme
Click Header :
-> At Logo Image : Click Browse to upload your store logo.
- You can set logo size at Logo Image Width, Logo Image Height

Click Save Configuration to save your editting.
How to add new products on Magento 2
1. With Magento 2.0.x

Login your Magento admin

Go to Products -> Catalog -> Add Product
-
Now you will see five tabs (Product Details, Images and Videos, Search Engine Optimization, Websites, ADVANCED SETTINGS). Be sure to fill in the Name , SKU , Price - required fields - on the first tab.
Name - The name of the product
SKU - The Stock keeping Unit of the product (for tracking the inventory of your store)
Price - The price value of the product
Tax Class - The Tax Class for the product
Images and Videos - Choose an image/video to respresent the product
Quantity - The amount of quantity currently in stock
Weight - The weight of the product (for shipping purposes)
Categories - The exact category you want to place this product in
Description - A short description introducting the features of the product
You should thing about the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of your new product. If you click Search Engine Optimization tab, you will see :
Before you add the product, you can add a new attribute by clicking on the Add Attribute button.
Click Save button when finish.
You can add as many products as you would like.
2. With Magento 2.1.x

Login your Magento admin

Go to Products -> Catalog -> Add Product

How to set discount products in Magento2
1. With Magento 2.0.x
Login your Magento admin
Go to Products -> Catalog
Search for the product you would like to set special product. Input at all required fields. Click ADVANCED SETTINGS -> Advanced Pricing
At Special Price: Set special price for the product, usually, it's discount price.
At Special Price From Date: Choose date you want to start the special price.
At Special Price To Date: Choose date you want to end the special price.
Click Save button when finish.
2. With Magento 2.1.x
Login your Magento admin
Go to Products -> Catalog
Search for the product you would like to set special product. Input at all required fields
-> At Price: Click Advanced Pricing
We got:
At Special Price: Set special price for the product, usually, it's discount price.
At Special Price From Date: Choose date you want to start the special price.
At Special Price To Date: Choose date you want to end the special price.
Click Done to save special price.

How to set related products in Magento 2.0.x
Login your Magento admin
Go to Products -> Catalog
Search for the product you would like to set related products. Input at all required fields. Click ADVANCED SETTINGS -> Related Products
Choose Any -> Then click Search

How to set upsell products in Magento 2.0.x
Login your Magento admin
Go to Products -> Catalog
Search for the product you would like to set upsell products. Input at all required fields. Click ADVANCED SETTINGS -> Up-sells
Choose Any -> Then click Search

Tick the products you want to set as upsell products
Click Save button when finish.
How to set related, up-sells and cross-sell products in Magento 2.1.x
Login your Magento admin
Go to Products -> Catalog
Search for the product you would like to set related products. Input at all required fields.
Click Related Products, Up-Sells, and Cross-Sells
- At Related Products : Click Add Related Products to add related products
- At Up-Sell Products : Click Add Up-Sell Products to add up-sell products
- At Cross-Sell Products : Add Cross-Sell Products to add cross-sell products

Tick the products you want to set as related product, upsell products, cross-sell product
Click Add Selected Products to add selected products.
Click Save button to save your config.
Creating Category
Before you add products to your catalog, you must first set the basic category structure of your catalog. Every product in your catalog must be assigned to at least one category.
Category Structure
1. With Magento 2.0.x
How to create new root category and add sub categories to the new Root
-
Login your Magento admin
-
Go to Products -> Categories -> Add Root Category
Then, complete the following required fields at General Information
Name - Enter name of the root category
Is Active - Set Yes
Include in Navigation Menu - Set Yes if you want this root category to be in the main menu
Complete the remaining optional fields as needed:
Description - Enter a description of the root category.
Image - Click Browse to upload an image for the root category.
Thumbnail - Click Browse to upload thumbnail image for the root category.
Complete the following meta data:
Page Title
Meta Keywords
Meta Description

Click Display Settings tab.
Set Display Mode : to one of the following
Products Only
Static Block Only
Static Block and Products
If applicable, set CMS Block to the static block that you want to appear on the category page. A static block can provide additional information, including text, images, and even embedded video.
At Is Anchor : choose Yes if you want this category page to display the “Filter by Attribute” section of layered navigation
At Available Product Listing Sort By : choose Available Attributes in list or tick at Use All Available Attributes
At Default Product Listing Sort By : Select one of the available values to sort the list. By default, all available attributes are listed. The default values typically include: Position , Name , Price
Click Save Category button when finish.
Click at that the root category you've created
Click at Add Subcategory button
Then, complete the following required fields at General Information
Name - Enter name of the root category
Is Active - Set Yes
Include in Navigation Menu - Set Yes if you want this root category to be in the main menu
Input information at tabs like the root category.
Click Save Category button when finish.
Repeat this process to create as many subcategories as you need.
2. With Magento 2.1.x

***Mega Menu gives you ability to create a huge sitemap-like menu with links to every page. Here you can navigate users with not only text but also videos and images.
1. Show Megamenu like demo after install theme
=>After install theme, Megamenu isn't shown , please login admin -> go to PlazaThemes -> Megamenu -> Manage Megamenu
- Basic Information tab -> At Enable Module : Select Yes to use Megamenu, at Show Homepage : Select Yes to show Homepage
- Main tab -> At Customer Link : Select and add Menu Links to show links on Megamenu like demo
Click Save Block to save your config.
2. How to config this module
Login your Magento admin
Go to PlazaThemes -> Megamenu -> Manage Megamenu

At Category , Custommer Link , Cms Page : Select the category, customer link, cms page you want to show on Mega Menu -> Click Add -> Save Block . You can also change position of categories by using up and down arrow . To remove category, customer link, cms page, select them -> click Remove -> Save Block . If you want to select many categories, customer links, cms pages please keep Ctrl key + select.
Show link on category - If you want to the category - doesn't show link of it -> Select that category
Effects - Select effect for menu
Click Save Block to save your config.
How to edit links above on Mega Menu:
Login your Magento admin
Go to Content -> Elements -> Blocks -> Select name static block -> Edit according to you

Banner Slider
This module performs images and texts in slideshow.
#Thebell1: You should cut background images with size 1920 x 620 pixels.
#Thebell2 : You should cut background images with size 1920 x 800 pixels.
#Thebell3: You should cut images with size 1920 x 700 pixels.
#Thebell4: You should cut background images with size 1920 x 644 pixels.
1. Configuration
Login your Magento admin
Go to PlazaThemes -> Banner Slider -> Settings
At Enable : Set Yes to use this module, set No if you don't want to use it.
Click Save Config to save your config.
2. How to add new slide show
Login your Magento admin
Go to PlazaThemes -> Banner Slider -> Manage Banners -> Add New Banner
Config parameters as below:
Name - Set name of banner
Store View - Choose store view you want to show this banner
Title 1 - Input the first title of the banner
Title 2 - Input the first title of the banner
Status - Set Enabled to use this banner
Alt Text - Text is displayed when the banner image isn't displayed.
URL - Url of the banner
Banner Image - Click Browse to upload image of banner
Description - Description of banner
Order - The order of banner
Click Save Banner to save your banner.
3. How to edit banners in slide show
Login your Magento admin
Go to PlazaThemes -> Banner Slider -> Manage Banners
-> Click Edit to edit the banner you want to edit.
Click Save Banner to save your config.
Category Top
*** This module shows featured categories with sub categories and thumbnail image of that main category.
1. Configuration
To config Category Top, please login admin -> go to Stores -> Configuration -> PlazaThemes -> Category Top -> Set Yes at Enable Module to use this module.
2. How to show the category and subcategories and thumbnail image of that category on this module:
*** You should cut thumbnail image with size 370 x 370 pixels.
Login your magento admin
Go to Products -> Categories -> Select the category you want to upload thumbnail image
You only can upload the thumbnail image for the main category.
Category Tabs Slider
***This module shows products and thumbnail image of the first category, the next categories are links.
1. Configuration
Login your Magento admin
Go to Stores -> Settings -> Configuration -> PlazaThemes -> Categorytab Slider -> Configuration Options
Config parameters as below:
Enable Module - Set Yes to use this module
Number of items showed on slide - Set number of items will be displayed on slider
Slide Speeds - Set waiting time between transition of 2 items.
Number of products was allowed on site - Maximum number of products will be allowed on this module.
Navigation - Decide whether show navigation or not
Pagination - Decide whether show Next/Back button or not
Auto Slide - Decide whether the slider will be auto played or not
Click Save Config to save your config.
2. How to show category on this module:

Go to Content -> Elements -> Pages -> Select Edit at your homepage -> Click tab Content -> Click at magento widget
